Ruslan Baginskiy's Après-Ski Collection Subverses Tradition in Style
Featuring balaclavas and oversized wool scarves to keep you extra cozy.
We all know no one does accessories like Ukrainian label Ruslan Baginskiy and luckily for us, the Kyiv-based designer has unveiled a new capsule collection inspired by après-ski styles to bear the cold season. The anticipated range includes winter’s favorite shapes and silhouettes reimagined by Baginskiy’s luxury and contemporary headwear-making skills.
Highlights include bright and unisex pieces, such as bold balaclavas, versatile “Houstka” hoods as well as oversized scarves that deliver a modern feel and a new take on seasonal essentials. The new RB-logo fringed scarf, made from alpaca wool, arrives in black and navy hues and is available in two different sizes, allowing you to bundle up during the gloomiest days.
The label has also revealed a new take on the “Houstka” hood, a Ukrainian’s traditional headscarf, to spice up any winter wardrobe. And of course, the season’s favorite accessory, street-cool balaclavas, could not be missed. Baginskiy has unveiled different styles of the silhouette in a wool-blend material and various empowering colorways, including a “Red/Pink” option and subtle hues of cream and black.
As per Baginskiy in a press release, “I have always been fascinated by fashion’s cyclical nature. How something really familiar can become a staple for a new group of people in a different era. Something our grandmother used to wear is changed ever so lightly and becomes street cool again. That is kind of the re-engineering I get creative with. In RB winter styles a “Houstka” headscarf, a very traditional element of clothing, can become not only relevant for women but a part of the men’s wardrobe too.”
Peep the quintessential range in the gallery above. With prices ranging from $220 USD to $340 USD, the Ruslan Baginskiy’s Après-Ski is now available online and in-store.
