Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire Finally Recreate the Iconic Spider-Man Meme
It’s the first time Garfield and Maguire are used in a ‘No Way Home’ promo.
It finally happened: Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire recreated the iconic Spider-Man meme.
The photo of the three actors pointing at each other is being used as promotion for the digital release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. What makes this extra special is the fact that it’s the first time Garfield and Maguire are being used for the film‘s promo as it’s been over two months since it premiered.
Let’s not forget that Garfield and Maguire’s involvement in the movie was top secret. Not even Emma Stone, who played Gwen alongside Garfield in previous Spider-Man films, was allowed to know.
During an an appearance on Josh Horowitz‘s Happy Sad Confused podcast, Garfield explained how Stone attempted to get all the details. “Emma kept on texting me,” he said. “She was like, ‘Are you in this new Spider-Man film?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about.’”
Garfield continued, “She was like, ‘Shut up. Just tell me. I’m like, ‘I honestly don’t know’ — I kept it going, even with her. And then she saw it. She was like, ‘You’re a jerk.’”
