Zoë Kravitz Is Creating a "Vulnerable" Debut Solo Album
Produced by Jack Antonoff.
You may be familiar with Zoë Kravitz‘s music as part of the R&B and electropop duo LOLAWOLF. Now, the actor-slash-singer is working on her very first solo album with Jack Antonoff as producer.
“It feels vulnerable, and it’s a little scary, but making music makes me happy,” Kravitz told Elle. In her forthcoming music, Kravitz explores love, loss and other themes. She’s currently writing and recording the upcoming LP at the legendary Electric Lady Studios in New York, which is the same recording studio her High Fidelity (Hulu) character, Rob, met Antonoff.
Of working with Antonoff, Kravitz previously told AnOther Magazine that he’s “a fantastic producer — he’s so good at really tapping into who he’s working with and not making it about him.”
She continued, “Some producers want to make it about … like, ‘I’m going to put my sound on you.’ It’s what I experienced with my band. But for him to want to help me realize what I’m hearing in my head has been a really wonderful experience and very therapeutic.”
Stay tuned for Kravitz’s upcoming music.
