Solange Revisits Aaliyah's Laid-Back '90s Aesthetic With Calvin Klein
The songstress fronts CK’s Spring 2022 campaign.
Calvin Klein unveils its Spring 2022 campaign, “All Together,” with cameos from some of entertainment’s most exciting musicians and performers. The new collection revisits the brand’s iconic staples like the bralette and jeans, and celebrates the future through the lens of community and inclusivity.
The cast of the campaign features Burna Boy, Solange, Vince Staples, Arlo Parks, Deb Never and BLACKPINK member Jennie. It also includes singer-songwriter and Euphoria newcomer, Dominic Fike. The visual is brought to life by videographer Melina Matsoukas and features creatives coming together to create a diverse celebration of identity. The campaign photos are shot on film by photographer Glen Luchford, adding a nostalgic feel to the campaign that revisits the past.

The campaign highlights community while sharing elements from the stories of each celebrity we already know and love. Solange stands in her favorite life source, the ocean, with five other Black women, just reveling in nature. The scene is symbolic of Solange’s music video signature — slow, sometimes sensual movement with other Black women. Before transitioning to the next scene, Solange rests her head on her community for support. She wears Calvin Klein’s Standards Genderless Crew Tee and Thong. In other scenes, she’s seen wearing the Modern Triangle Bralette as well as the Modern Cotton Bikini and Straight Jeans, serving the classic Aaliyah-inspired ’90s aesthetic.
