Da Brat Says Her Wife Makes Her "Feel Like the Luckiest Girl in the World"
The rapper’s twin flame surprises her with the ultimate honeymoon.
Da Brat and wife Jesseca Dupart recently tied the knot and according to the rapper, her partner just keeps raising the bar on perfection. The pair announced they were expecting earlier this year and got married at the Horse Mansion in Georgia, equipped with a horse and carriage to add to their fairytale. Following their big day, the two sat down with Entertainment Tonight to discuss life after their dream wedding.
The rapper shared that before the wedding, the couple had actually talked about not having a honeymoon due to them being busy. That was until her “twin flame,” Dupart, took to the stage at their wedding and shared the perfect surprise. Da Brat shared, “At the end of our reception, she stands up and goes, ‘Beautiful, I have an announcement to make,’ and I go, ‘Oh God, what is it?’ And she’s like, ‘We’re going on our honeymoon. We leave tomorrow. We’re going to Turks and Caicos.’”
In the past, Da Brat has made it a point to keep her sexuality lowkey although the world suspected she was queer. However, since meeting Dupart, Da Brat has no shame in sharing how amazing life is with her wife. From constant surprises to the cutest interviews, they’ve become a fan favorite.
Dupart gushed throughout the interview and shared, “Our hearts kind of mimic each other so our love languages are a little bit different, but the way that we love people and the way that we care is kind of the same.”
Their wedding was flooded with celebrity appearances such as Jermaine Dupri and several Real Housewives of Atlanta members. According to the lovely couple, they didn’t even have a chance to work the room because they were so caught up in celebrating each other. The couple did say that they assumed everyone had a great time from the glimpses they saw, but for the most part, “it was like everybody disappeared.”
