Disney's 'Encanto' to Potentially Receive a Sequel or Spin-Off
Co-director Jared Bush hints at the possibility.
Fortunately for Encanto fans, there’s a possibility you may be seeing more of Mirabel and the rest of the Madrigals. The film‘s co-director Jared Bush shared a cryptic tweet, hinting at the possibility of an Encanto sequel or spin-off.
“I’m asked a LOT if there’ll be more #Encanto — movies, TV, Theater, etc,” he wrote. “I’ll say this, it was always our dream, but the real deciders are the fans who found themselves in this story, who saw their family in ours, who chose to spend time with the Madrigals … and want to again.”
Additionally, Bush revealed a hidden gem from the Disney film. “I promised a secret if you found it,” he tweeted. “There are TWO miracles in #Encanto: Abuela’s, born of love for family, embodied by her candle, flame-colored magic, the [second]: Mirabel’s, born of the same, embodied in casita, its colors… everyone’s. What’s next … I hope we’ll see.”
