How 'Naomi' Star Kaci Walfall Got Ready for Her First Chanel Show

The CW star gives us an exclusive peek.

Paris Fashion Week is always exciting to watch as a bystander, but seeing an actual Chanel show through the lens of actor Kaci Walfall was even more riveting. Known as Naomi Mcduffie on The CW‘s show Naomi, Walfall attended the Chanel Fall/Winter 2022 show as one of the Parisian house’s honored guests.

Such occasion calls for glam, but only in the most Chanel way. Keeping it pretty in pink, the actor donned a soft pink Chanel pant set with black accessories to complement the outfit. To take things up a notch, Nai’vasha, global hairstylist for Tresemme, approached the look with a bouquet of curls channeling a Diana Ross-inspired hair moment, paired with an oversized black Chanel bow. Achieving this look using Curl Queen’s Royal Nectar hair oil from roots to ends, Na’vasha parted Kaci’s hair in a triangle, smoothing out each section with a brush while using L’Orèal‘s Elnet holding spray. The overall look was finished with a Mason Pearson brush, delicately brushing through the natural textures for the billowy effect. “The inspiration was fresh ’70s. We really liked the idea of channeling ’70s texture and glamour with the freshness of now,” Nai’vasha told us.

Makeup artist Vincent Oquendo emphasized Walfall’s natural beauty opting for more ’70s glam. Oquendo told Teen Vogue, ”I wanted the high glamour, but a fresh modern take of that type of high glamour makeup look.” Keeping the makeup look soft and fresh, Oquendo used Chanel’s N°1 de lip and cheek balm for blush in “Red Camilla,” and added definition and volume to the eyes using Chanel’s Inimitable Mascara in “Noir Black.”

“Chanel is my first show, and I’ve loved Chanel forever. I’ve never been to Paris before, and the atmosphere is stunning. Zadrian and the Chanel team showed me the ropes and helped me attend my first fashion week smoothly,” the actor recapped with Teen Vogue.

See how Walfall got ready for the Chanel FW22 show above. You can catch her in The CW’s Naomi every Tuesday.
