Having a platform of nearly 315 million followers, Kylie Jenner posted an Instagram story, lamenting the Ukrainian-Russian war, writing, “God protect the people of Ukraine, my thoughts and prayers are with you.” A mere two hours after, Jenner posted an update to her Stories with a video promoting the launch of her new Kylie Cosmetics Lip Lacquers.
While the timing could have been benign, many found her social media activity during the outbreak of a potential WWIII to be problematic, with a TikTok user reposting the video with the caption, “Kylie cannot be f-cking serious right now,” continuing, mocking Jenner’s voice, “I’m so sad for Ukraine! Anyways my new lip shiners-.”
