Introducing Rat Betty, The Perfectly Imperfect Sustainable Jewelry Brand

From anatomically correct heart rings to wonky flowers.

When Millie Hand found herself wasting away at a 9-5 she hated, the inventive jewelry-maker discovered a passion for silversmithing and soon, delightfully quirky brain and grinning toothy rings were born. Rat Betty, a truly one-of-a-kind jewelry brand is the brainchild of Hand and her partner, providing off-kilter accessories with designs you can’t find anywhere else.

Named after her childhood pet rat Betty, the independent label takes a decidedly humorous approach to jewelry, creating unparalleled and effortlessly cool trinkets. Thin peering eyes and cartoony, yet whimsical wonky flower rings are cast from recycled sterling silver while pre-loved stones make for romantic heart-shaped wearable symbols of affection. Gold is also sustainably sourced, as ethical sourcing is paramount to the brand.

The British-owned brand also features necklaces, earrings and bracelets in the form of flirty Tongue Toggle chains bearing plump lips and defiant tongues, while earlobes get the full star treatment with bold lightning bolts and cheeky ear earrings. With prices ranging from $70 to $2,1800 USD, there is truly something at every price point. Take a look at Rat Betty’s perfectly imperfect jewelry above and head to the brand’s website to pick up something for yourself.
