Brands like Off-White™, AMBUSH and Nensi Dojaka offer their own takes on the trend.

Cut-outs have seen a surge in popularity over the past few seasons, thanks to designers like Nensi Dojaka and Gen Z shows such as Euphoria. This Fashion Month, we’re seeing a continuation of the buzzy trend on runways for the Fall/Winter 2022 season, which is why we’ve rounded up some of our favorite looks from brands ranging from Off-White™ and AMBUSH, to MSGM and Supriya Lele.

The cut-out trend is seen in a variety of styles. In Off-White™’s latest show paying tribute to Virgil Abloh, knitwear pieces featured repeated holes, both large and small, to reveal the garments worn underneath. As for AMBUSH, Yoon got creative with a heart-shaped cut-out on animal print trousers, while keeping things simple with subtle details revealing the waist.

Nensi Dojaka, one of the leading names of the trend, continued her signature style with an array of cut-out pieces. Elsewhere, Peter Do offered a slightly different take by applying the look to wide-legged jeans while MSGM went for a fun aesthetic with star-shaped cut-outs on hoodies and shirts.
