Megan Thee Stallion Shows off Yummy Nail Update

Megan Thee Stallion took to Instagram this week to show off her Candy Land-inspired nails. Captioned “Thee Sweetest,” the photos see the Houston Hottie donning a spring-ready, green sheer blouse with cuffed boa feathers and a color-matching faux fur hat.
The manicurist behind these eclectic nails is Coca Michelle, who taps into an old favorite trend known as kawaii nails. For those unfamiliar with the term “kawaii,” Mei Kawajiri, another celebrity nail artist, told Popsugar, “In Japanese, we sometimes use the phrase ['kawaii'] to mean ‘cool’ and ‘awesome.’ I would define kawaii as a Japanese style that is cute, cool, awesome and one of a kind.”
Stallion’s new nail art seems to reference her and Dua Lipa’s upcoming single “Sweetest Pie,” due to drop on March 11. Over the weekend, the rapper took to social media to tease the collaboration, sharing a grid of colorful cakes featuring images of the two artists. While we don’t know much about the track yet, we expect it to be a sweet intro to the warmer months.
