Fashion Week FW22 Trend Spotlight: Bare It All in See-Through Silhouettes

Get nakey, nakey, naked, but make it fashion.

The sheer fashion trend has been around for years, influencing fashionistas and celebrities around the globe to try out the daring style. This Fashion Month Fall/Winter 2022, we spotted a number of see-through silhouettes make their way back on the runway, as well as in the front row (i.e. Rihanna’s lingerie moment at Dior’s show).

At Dior, the fashion house kept it subtle with its A-line dresses crafted from a mix of fabrics like lace, tulle and velvet. Miuccia Prada experimented with different textures and patterns for Miu Miu‘s line, pairing an encrusted see-through crystal set with baby blue underwear and a sheer white top.

Coperni‘s take on the trend arrived in the forms of sheer dresses ranging from halter-necks to slit silhouettes. As for Valentino, the label’s fuchsia pink- and black-dominated collection displayed high neck long-sleeve tops with embroidery details.
