The Y2K Nike Air Kukini Returns in Two Colorways

The 2000 release returns after a 10-year hiatus.

The early aughts were an experimental time in sneakers. From exaggerated soles to bodacious colorways, the era birthed some of the most collectible sneakers of all time. As Y2K fashion continues to find favor among Millennials and Gen Z, footwear brands are falling in line and rereleasing throwback models from the period.

Debuted in 2000 and last seen in 2012, the Nike Kukini is now slated for a return. Designed by Sean McDowell, the Kukini boasts a laceless upper, bound by a translucent TPU cage. The 2022 rollout will include two printed iterations, a “Topography” version in shades of blue with metallic silver details and a classic leopard print with hits of orange.

Both colorways are expected to release in the coming weeks and will be priced at $135 USD.
