Nike Honors Gigi Bryant, Announcing New Kobe Bryant Partnership With Kobe 6 Protro
In partnership with Vanessa Bryant with all proceeds benefiting the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.
Paying respects to Kobe Bryant’s far-reaching and lasting legacy, Nike has announced a new partnership in honor of the basketball legend. Partnering with Vanessa Bryant, the collaboration sets out to inspire the younger generation of athletes. Marking two years after the sudden and devastating passing of Kobe and Gianna “Gigi” Bryant, Nike will be releasing a new Kobe Protro 6 dedicated to the sports icon’s daughter. All of the proceeds will benefit the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.
In a press release, Vanessa Bryant shares, “I am happy to announce that we will continue my husband’s legacy with Nike and look forward to expanding his and Gigi’s global impact by sharing the Mamba Mentality with youth athletes for generations to come.” To further its philanthropic efforts, Bryant and Nike will be working closely to establish a youth basketball center in Southern California, while continuing to outfit the NBA and WNBA athletes who carry the legacy of the Mamba Mentality.
