Tyler, The Creator's NIGO Collab "Come On, Let's Go" Highlights a Relatable Dating Struggle
Basically a comedy sketch turned into a song with a cameo by Pharrell.
Tyler, The Creator dropped the self-directed music video for “Come On, Let’s Go” in collaboration with NIGO.
The track is part of NIGO’s I Know NIGO, which is the BAPE founder’s upcoming album. Pharrell, who makes a cameo in the music video, is executive producer the compilation. I Know NIGO is filled with A-List features, such as Pharrell, A$AP Rocky, Kid Cudi, Gunna, Clipse, Pusha T, the late Pop Smoke, Lil Uzi Vert and more.
In “Come On, Let’s Go,” Tyler goes on a rant about waiting around for his date, who’s not prompt. He sings in the first verse: “How you get a attitude ’cause I’m gettin’ mad?/ ‘Cause you wanna take twenty minutes and a half/ And on top of that, I gotta get gas/ Ahh, the freeway, picked up traffic/ What the f–k is you doin’? We gotta dip-dip-dip-dip-dip/ Cartier-er-er-er, watch go tick-tick-tick-tick/ Waitin’ for that last minute for your goddamn hair/ Now stop playin’ games, go on bring your ass downstairs.”
