Dua Lipa Nails Her Platinum Blonde Hair Transformation for 2022 Grammys

Even Donatella Versace loves the singer’s new look.

Dua Lipa is testing out if blondes really have more fun. The Future Nostalgia singer arrived at the 2022 Grammys red carpet on Sunday, donning a new appearance as she debuted bone-straight, waist-length hair in platinum blonde.

The hair transformation was crafted by Lipa’s hairstylist Chris Appleton, who shared a behind-the-scenes snap of the hair color process via Instagram Stories. Appleton has yet to reveal more about how he created Lipa’s new look, but as this is an extreme change, it could be a wig moment — especially considering that the pop star has been performing on tour with shorter hair. Nevertheless, the striking hair color is still very haute.

Complementing the head-turning hairstyle, the singer’s Grammys beat was done by Samantha Lau, and featured a dark, wine-colored lip, fluffy brows and a minimal eye look.

Lipa shared her Grammys look on Instagram with a carousel of images, captioned, “A little bit of 1992.” The post sent fans and celebrities alike into a frenzy, with even the great Donatella Versace commenting: “You are an absolute BEAUTY! My Versace Queen making historical moments always. I love you.”
