Doja Cat Has the Funniest Explanation for Almost Missing Her 2022 Grammys Win
“I’ve never taken such a fast piss in my whole life,” says the singer.
The 2022 Grammys was a memorable night for Doja Cat for several reasons. The musician received her very first Grammy award but almost missed it.
“I’ve never taken such a fast piss in my whole life,” she said after sprinting on stage to accept her win for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Kiss Me More.” Joining her on stage for the hit collab was SZA, who said, “I am glad you made it back in time.”
In her acceptance speech, Doja expressed her gratitude. “Thank you everybody,” she said. “I really appreciate it. Thank you to everybody. My friends, my family, my team. I wouldn’t be here without you and I wouldn’t be here without my fans and you know what SZA, you are everything to me. You are incredible. You are the epitome of talent.”
The “Woman” singer then got emotional and began to cry. “I like to downplay a lot of s– t, but this? It’s a big deal. Damn. Thank you, everybody. Be safe, take care.”
Doja’s first Grammy win comes weeks after she announced she will be quitting music, which was sparked after some recent backlash. However, a few days ago, she clarified that won’t be happening until after her tour with The Weeknd.
