See Natalie Portman Wield Thor's Hammer in New 'Love and Thunder' Teaser
The actor makes her Marvel superhero debut as the Mighty Thor.
Marvel has finally debuted the teaser for Thor: Love and Thunder, the sequel to 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok.
Taking place after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the upcoming film follows Thor’s (Chris Hemsworth) journey to finding himself. “I need to figure out exactly who I am. I want to choose my own path, live in the moment,” he says in a voiceover. “My superhero-ing days are over.” However, his plans are put on hold when a new villain emerges, Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), whose goal is to wipe out all gods.
Towards the end of the visual, Thor’s original hammer appears. The weapon is seen being wielded by a woman dressed in a red cape and helmet, who happens to be the Mighty Thor, also known as Thor’s ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman).
Joining Hemsworth and Portman in the new movie are the Guardians of the Galaxy cast — Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel — along with other familiar faces.
Thor: Love and Thunder will hit theaters in the U.S. on July 8. Watch the teaser above.
