Casablanca's High-Summer 2022 Campaign Takes Inspiration From 'Pretty Woman'

Casablanca‘s new Summer 2022 campaign takes cues from the ’80s Hollywood glamour of Garry Marshall’s Pretty Woman. Inspired by pivotal scenes throughout the film, the new campaign features pieces from the brand’s Printemps-été 2022 collection, dubbed ‘Masao San.’
Dedicated to Masao, a personal friend of Casablanca’s, the collection pays tribute to friendships, intimate journeys and exploration. Standout products include the Wave series of bags which feature pastel gradients across a range of handbags and a computer case. Elsewhere, the collection sees the debut of the Monogram Wave Bag which arrives in black leather and features a bamboo top handle and gold-tone logo plaque. ’Masao San’ also includes the new Wave sunglasses, a D-shape frame with acetate and nylon lenses, encased in 18k gold hardware.
Silhouettes in the Printemps-été collection see an evolution of workwear fused with avant-garde tailoring. Inspired by the motion of a ping pong ball, Casablanca’s monogrammed prints transform to replicate forceful movements and waves. Alongside the campaign, Casablanca’s SS22 film presents both menswear and womenswear collections featuring pastel silks, hand-painted designs and transparent fabrics.
The collection comes shortly after Casablanca debuted its beach-ready collection for SS22, taking influence from summer evenings and European getaways.
