Johnny Depp Fans Are Spending Thousands of Dollars To Be at His Trial

Going as high as $30,000 USD.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard‘s ongoing defamation trial continues to have fans at the edge of their seats as they wait for the final verdict.

For those who haven’t been following, Depp has sued Heard for defamation for an op-ed she wrote in 2018 for the Washington Post, stating that she is a survivor of abuse. The Aquaman actor didn’t mention Depp’s name in the piece, however, the 58-year-old actor “claimed in a lawsuit that it hindered his career,” as per Page Six.

Since the trial started, fans of Depp have been supporting him as much as they can. One supporter, named Ivan De Boer, shared with People that she “used her paid vacation time for the year to attend the trial. So far, she has spent about $30,000 USD on expenses.” Meanwhile, another fan said she bought $2,000 USD worth of new clothes to attend the trial due to the fact that it was being broadcasted live. Going the extra mile, one individual moved to the U.S. from the U.K. to be at the trial. “I’ve been coming back and forth from LA [to Virginia], so you’re looking at $600 to $700 USD each time, 10 hours of your life in the air. But yeah, hotel, food, drinks, about $10,000 USD,” the fan shared.

No further updates have been disclosed about Depp and Heard’s trial. Stay tuned while we wait for more details.
