Billie Eilish Reveals She Had a Body Double During Her 2022 Coachella Performance

Noting “nobody ever knew” until now.

Nearly two months after Coachella, Billie Eilish revealed she had a body double during her performance that fans were unaware about.

“The beginning of Coachella, I had a body double, one of my dancers for the show,” Eilish said during a recent appearance on Apple Music 1’s The Matt Wilkinson Show. “I dressed her up in a show look that I had worn before. We got a black wig and we put buns in it and we gave her a mask and sunglasses and she wore my shoes and my socks.”

She continued, “I put her up at the back of the stage and she stood there while the lights went on and everybody thought it was me. And nobody ever knew it wasn’t me, literally nobody knew. And while she’s up there, I put on a big black coat and a traffic vest and a hood and just glasses.”

If you look back to videos of her set, an Eilish-resembling figure can be seen at the back of the stage during her intro sequence, which featured  bits of “Oxytocin” and “Happier Than Ever.” However, the musician’s face isn’t visible. About two minutes later, the real Eilish appears when “Bury a Friend” starts to play.

Look closely for her body double in this video.
