Following in the footsteps of her bandmate Jisoo, BLACKPINK member Jennie might be making her acting debut. According to reports, the K-pop star is in talks to star in HBO‘s upcoming series The Idol alongside The Weeknd, Lily-Rose Depp and Troye Sivan.
Co-created by The Weeknd, Reza Fahim and Euphoria‘s Sam Levinson, The Idol is a six-episode show described to follow a “female pop singer who starts a romance with an enigmatic LA club owner turned secret cult leader.” While nothing has been confirmed as of writing, Jennie could potentially appear as a cameo or a small character in the anticipated series. Rumors first sparked after the South Korean singer was spotted with The Weeknd in LA back in November.
