Halsey on Bringing Her "So Good" Music Video to Life With Boyfriend Alev Aydin and Samsung
The singer shares why this collaboration is so special.
Halsey recently released her music video for her hit single “So Good,” which is a collaboration with her boyfriend, Alev Ayden, and Samsung.
The music video for “So Good” was written and directed by Ayden, who also makes an appearance. The singer-slash-song-writer exclusively tells Hypebae what makes this project so special, personally. “Samsung heard the song and they saw our video concept and they wanted to be a part of it, and without them I wouldn’t have one of my favorite videos,” she says.
To visually capture the proper aesthetic, Samsung’s Freestyle was used. “The film we created for ‘So Good’ really tells the full story of the song in the way I intended,” Halsey explains in a press release. “Samsung helped us share our vision, giving us the creative freedom we needed to make something we are really proud of. Using the Freestyle, Alev and I were able to share a glimpse of the way that we fell in love: watching romantic films together. But this time, the Freestyle is playing real home movies from our life together. For us, this makes ‘So Good’ come to life in a really special way that we’re so excited to share with fans.”
The music video also captures intimate moments with Halsey and Ayden’s 11-month-old son, Ender.
