KAWS Unveils Cereal Box Collaboration With General Mills

A playful, nostalgic partnership inspired by monsters.

Following his Reese’s Puffs collaboration last year, KAWS has now unveiled his latest cereal project with General Mills.

Arriving after the artist’s recent team-up with BTS’ J-Hope, the nostalgic partnership features four flavors featuring playful characters inspired by monsters. The first is Frankenberry — a strawberry-flavored concoction with monster-shaped marshmallows — followed by Count Chocula, a chocolatey cereal with marshmallows. Boo-Berry comes with artificial berry flavors, and Frute Brute is a cherry and marshmallow mixture. Each box is highlighted with KAWS’ signature X’d out eyes, with each monster munching on their bowls of cereal. These flavors will be arriving for a limited time, with the back of the boxes printed with unique codes that can be scanned for a chance to win a set of KAWS-designed toy versions of the monsters.

KAWS shared in a statement: “It’s been a thrill to collaborate with General Mills and Monsters Cereals. I’ve been a big fan of the cereals since I was a kid. Even now, I love the original box designs and the creativity and imagination they invoke.”

Take a first look at each box down below. Neither KAWS nor General Mills has announced a release date but keep your eyes peeled here for more info.
