Follow the musician as she attends Julien Dossena’s latest show in Paris.
Just as Paris Couture Week kicked off, Julien Dossena of Paco Rabanne invited guests to the City of Light to showcase his Spring/Summer 2023 runway. Sabrina Carpenter — Emergency star and musician with a new album on the way — sat front row to support the designer, who dressed her for her first Met Gala back in May.
The star offered an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at her trip with Hypebae, inviting us into the hotel room she got ready in, followed by a quick stop at the Eiffel Tower. She tried on a metallic silver sequined number paired with a bold chain necklace, and later got dressed up in a golden minidress featuring Paco Rabanne’s signature chainmail, accompanied by fringe detailing at the hem. She kept things simple with glam, sporting her bangs with graphic eyeliner for a high fashion touch. After the show, Carpenter met Dossena IRL for the first time, congratulating the designer on his show.

The show was so stunning. This new collection has so much variety yet it’s super distinct! There were so many looks I could see myself in. I think I gravitate towards the incredible chain metal looks because they feel so distinct to Paco Rabanne.
I got to meet Julien Dossena for the first time, after he designed my first ever Met Gala look, and I was so taken aback at how sweet and personable he is. I’ve been a fan of the brand for such a long time. He put together such a brilliant show. I was gushing nonstop.
