Kilian Paris’s Resets Cultural Nostalgia With Revamp of "Sacred Wood" Fragrance
Journeying your olfactory senses to the sacred mountains of Morocco.
Fragrance brand Kilian Paris sets the tone for fall with the perfumery’s most coveted ingredient: sandalwood from Mysore in India, with the release of its Sacred Wood scent.
Sacred Wood is designed around raw materials of spice and incense. Ambrette seed, absolute and carrot seed oil are the opening notes, while myrrh and copahu balsam oil lend a balmy accent. Kilian Paris’s newest scent also pays tribute to the ingredient of cedarwood sourced from protected tree species in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Sacred Wood exudes an olfactive opening into a higher level of sensory pleasure. “When it was still available to perfumers early in my career, cedarwood from Mysore made me fall deeply in love with the perfume world—to the point where I wore the oil pure on my neck. It is a perfume in itself” Founder Kilian Hennessy says in a press release.
Sacred Wood retails for $265 USD and can be purchased via the brand’s website.
