Patta Shares Sneak Peek at Upcoming New Balance Collab
Unveiling a new iteration of the 990v3.
Amsterdam-based streetwear label Patta and New Balance excite fans as an unreleased image of its third collaboration surfaces online. The first team-up occurred in 2020 with the release of an earthy 920, followed by the elegant 991 in 2021.
The upcoming pair is teased by Tim Sabajo, a day 1 Patta team member and brother of co-founder Edson Sabajo. The photo unveils the brand’s collaborative iteration of the 990v3, which is also lauded to be one of New Balance’s best-selling sneakers.
The new release features a combination of richly-textured materials and bold color blocking. Standout detail includes the use of suede, mesh and synthetics in the upper. The pair is also dressed in a variety of mossy green tones, punctuated with what appears to be a pop of kelly green and bright blue towards the forefoot. Elsewhere, a special Patta logo treatment can be easily spotted at the backstay, while an italicized made-in-the-USA is stamped in the collar. To round it out, a speckled two-tone midsole completes the look.
Additional design details and launch date are yet to be announced but in the meantime, take a detailed look at the latest 990v3 in the gallery above.
