Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes Are Reportedly Expected to Leave 'GMA3' for Good
After they were temporarily taken off the air.
It’s been two months since Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were involved in a romantic scandal, and now it seems like their fate on GMA3 is finally being determined. The ABC Good Morning America co-anchors were temporarily taken off the air and now a new report claims that they will be exiting the show for good.
“They are out but discussions are still in process,” a close source told E! News. “It is expected they will be leaving the show.”
In early December, ABC News president Kim Godwin shared an internal memo with staff, explaining the reason behind temporarily removing Robach and Holmes off the air, calling their affair an “internal and external distraction.”
She said at the time, “I want to say that while that relationship is not a violation of company policy, I have really taken the last few days to think about and work through what I think is best for the ABC News organization. This is something I’m not going to talk, we’re not going to talk about on this call until there is more to be said. I’m asking that we stop the whispering in the hallways. You know, we can’t operate with gossip, and speculation and rumors. We need to stay focused on the work.”
