Self-proclaimed minimalists, look away now because the new Brain Dead x ASICS GEL-Nimbus 9 collaboration is not for the faint-hearted.
Arriving in a vibrant explosion of color, the new sneaker is comprised of a multi-colored upper, complete with light pink, pale blue, bright yellow and burgundy alongside not-so-subtle accents of teal, olive green and bright pink — with basically every color in between also making an appearance.
Juxtaposing a futuristic design with a retro colorway, the sneaker is set to be the brightest shoe in any footwear enthusiast’s collection. Primarily, the GEL-Nimbus is made up of a pinky-maroon upper, punctuated with fluorescent orange across its toe box and heel. Elsewhere, the sneaker boasts Brand Dead and ASICS branding on its rubber tongue label and heel.
The new collaboration comes shortly after the likes of Florence Tétier, SHUSHU/TONG and Cecilie Bahnsen tried their hand at updating the striking silhouette, however, it’s fair to say that Brain Dead’s iteration is the most colorful one yet.
