Doja Cat is kicking off Paris Couture Week with a bang for Spring 2023. Spotted at Schiaparelli‘s daring showcase for the season, the artist hung with the best of them that walked the runway, which included none other than the icon Naomi Campbell, Irina Shayk and more — but all eyes were on Doja, the lady dressed in red.

For the beauty on the runway, Daniel Roseberry‘s signature golden/bronze plated faces were reimaged on the models into gold-face and body paint, making humans subject to surreal inanimate objects. Doja Cat joined this idea by placing over 30,000 Swarovski red crystals strategically and carefully over her body, curated by MUVA Pat McGrath. McGrath recants in an Instagram post, “Doja’s patience and commitment during the 4 hours and 58 minutes it took to create the look with #TeamPatMcGrath and I, which was covered in over 30,000 hand-applied @swarovski Crystals, was truly inspiring. The final product was a magical, mesmerizing masterpiece and a tribute to Doja Cat’s hard work and dedication.”

This is how you set the scene for fashion month, Doja Cat. Pat McGrath isn’t the only one feeling inspired to recreate themselves just to walk out for a cup of coffee — the Bae Beauty team shares the same sentiments. Catch more of the editorial look from the artist ahead.
