Martine Rose Reveals New Colorway of Nike Shox MR4 Collab

Martine Rose is bringing her coveted Nike Shox MR4 collaboration back, as revealed on her latest runway at Pitti Immagine as Pitti Uomo 103‘s Guest Designer.

The partnership initially surfaced in June last year in white and black colorways, selling out shortly upon release and joining Hypebae’s list of the best sneaker releases of 2022. For her Fall/Winter 2023 runway show, Rose updated the collaborative design with a new color scheme, featuring shades of blue and purple.

Inspired by goalkeeper jerseys of the 1990s, the kicks feature a gradient look with a deep purple-blue hue at the toe box, gradually transitioning into a vibrant blue color at the heel. Just like the previous drop, the silhouette is highlighted with squared toes, while the shoe is accompanied by extra-long shoelaces and 3M panels on the vamp. The design is complete with Martine Rose branding on the tongue along with four pistons in the same vivid blue color at the heel.

“I really wanted it to feel like a collaboration between London and Italy in the broadest sense. One thing that ties the U.K. and Italy together is music and dance music’s culture, and the other is sport,” Rose shared in a conversation with Hypebeast. “The shoe underlines that and really draws on those two things. Those little nods to sport across the water put us together.”

Take a closer look at the new Martine Rose x Nike Shox MR4 above and stay tuned as we learn more about the official release.

Elsewhere in sneakers, Nike has updated the Dunk Low in a “Kentucky Alternate” theme.
