CAMO, the rising South Korean musician who dropped a new single titled “Mapsi” last month, is back with her debut album titled Pressure Makes Diamonds.
The Seoul-based artist, who has worked with leading names like BIBI and Simon Dominic, has been a name to watch in the K-hip hop scene since her debut in 2020 with her EP, ICE. After releasing her another EP titled Fragile in 2021, the 24-year-old is back with 13 tracks on her newest album.
On Pressure Makes Diamonds, CAMO showcases her rap and R&B sound in tracks like “Waterwater” which features Tommy Genesis. The album is highlighted with a star-studded features list with Jay Park on “Waiting For You,” Sik-K on “Pressure,” Japanese rapper AWICH on “Too Real” rapper Loopy on “___ (그래도).” Arriving alongside Pressure Makes Diamonds is a two-part music video for “Six Weeks” and “Bitchy,” the former a heartbreak anthem while the latter offers hard, heavy sounds.
