Da Brat Pregnant at 48 Years Old
The rapper is 18 weeks pregnant.
Chicago rapper Da Brat is 18 weeks pregnant at age 48, with her wife Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart.
“It’s been quite a journey,” Da Brat told People about navigating pregnancy in her late 40s. “I never thought I was going to have kids,” she says. “I just thought it wasn’t in the cards for me. I’ve had a great career, a full life. I felt like, because I didn’t get pregnant earlier on, then it just wasn’t going to happen for me.”
Just as their one-year wedding anniversary approaches, they’ve announced the pregnancy and if you’re questioning her age — don’t worry, they are too. “There’s a lot of stuff we learned about women over the age of 40,” she spoke of their current journey while admitting the thought of children was once a “joke,” to her.

In fact, according to the couple, the idea of pregnancy was always a joke after they teased they were expecting in 2022. However, that moment inspired the couple to actively think about extending their family. “I started looking at life so differently,” Da Brat revealed. “I want a little me with you. Something special from the both of us that we can share and raise and love unconditionally.”
“I was like, nothing’s gonna come out of me,” Da Brat continued. But she admits that her partner, Harris-Dupart has changed her opinion on many things, and the case of extending their family was no different. ”We had a little tug-o-war in the beginning… but I felt like she should have the experience,” Harris-Dupart chimed in. “She is so nurturing.”
Now, Da Brat is 18 weeks pregnant after using an anonymous and “eager entrepreneur” donor.
