New Balance Debuts the Coveted 550 in "Bubblegum"

The much-loved sneaker returns.

New Balance continues to capitalize on the success of its ever-popular, nearly-always-sold-out 550 silhouette by releasing new colorways, this time offering a spring-ready hue for pink lovers everywhere.

Dubbed “Bubblegum,” the brand’s latest reimagining of the cult sneaker boasts a mix of perforated leather and mesh on its upper, complete with its signature lateral “N” logo and 550 lettering in delicate pink. Elsewhere, the shoe features basketball graphics on its tongue tag alongside a speed-marked monogram and oversized, NB-branded logo on its insoles. Rounding out the pale pink offering is its two-tone sole units with non-marking bottoms.

News of the pink-hued 550 follows recent colorways like “Turtledove” and “Burnt Orange,” alongside its plush “Suede Pack” comprising royal blue, bright red and clean grey.

Take a closer look at the New Balance 550 “Bubblegum” above, set to land on New Balance and select retailers for $110 USD in the next month.

In other footwear news, here’s an early look at Nike and Tiffany & Co.’s “reverse Tiffany blue” colorway.
