Lesbian Dating App HER Discovers New Solo Sex Trends
“Variety is the spice of queer masturbation,” the report revealed.
Lesbian dating app HER releases the findings of its Pride & Pleasure survey.
It seems no one is celebrating Masturbation May quite like the queer community as HER’s findings reveal a new era. Solo sex gained all the hype during the pandemic as most folks were on lockdown solo. However, as pandemic restrictions began to lift, people began to revisit sex and love with their new perspectives.
On the topic of new perspectives, HER’s study found that queers are masturbating more than their straight counterparts. They’re also “blurring the lines between self-exploration and shared experiences,” the exclusive press release stated. Approximately, 71% of LGBTQIA+ users “boldly discuss masturbation with their partners” while 65% are proudly exploring mutual self-pleasure.
On a surprising note, survey respondents revealed a deep secret: “Queers are thinking about ‘someone they know’ a lot more than their partner when they masturbate. HER also reports that the queer community is fearless when it comes to using sex toys, and switching up locations for added spice. In their words, “variety is the spice of queer masturbation.”
HER concludes its findings are a testament to the queer community’s “commitment to breaking barriers, fostering open communication and celebrating vulnerability.” No longer does masturbation have to be a solo act. Instead, they’re “reclaiming and redefining solo play as a collective experience, shattering taboos and paving the way for deeper connections.”
