Taylor Swift Gets Candid on 'The Eras Tour': "I Just Love the Idea of Men Apologizing"
A viral ‘Miss Americana’ clip resurfaces as the musician dominates her tour.
As Taylor Swift revels in nostalgia on The Eras Tour, a clip from her Miss Americana Netflix documentary resurfaces — perfectly complementing her “Betty” performance and her recurring theme: heartbreak.
“I’m trying to be as educated as possible on how to respect people, on how to deprogram the misogyny in my own brain” the Anti-Hero singer opens the Netflix clip from her doc. “There is no such thing as a slut, there is no such thing as a b-tch,” she continues. As she wraps, she jokes about over-apologizing, one of the many side effects of taking up space as a woman in a misogynistic world.

During the first weekend of her tour, which opened in Glendale, Arizona, Swift introduced her song “Betty,” revealing just how much growth the artist has experienced since the release of her documentary — and also poking fun at misogynistic, emotionally underdeveloped men she used to date. “So, sort of a running, recurring theme in my music is that I love to explain to men how to apologize,” she jokes during its introduction.
“I just love it. It’s kind of my thing. I love to tell them step-by-step, ‘Here’s how simple this is to fix things if you just follow these easy steps that I’m laying out for you in a three-minute song. I just love the idea of men apologizing.”
Same sis, same.
