Zendaya Set To Receive the 2023 CinemaCon Star of the Year Award
Taking place at the end of April.
Zendaya is being honored for her acting in a major way. It’s been announced that the Euphoria star is the recipient of CinemaCon 2023’s Star of the Year Award.
“In just a few short years, Zendaya has captured audiences’ attention with her compassionate performance on the small screen as Rue in Euphoria and has drawn audiences in on the big screen with her performances in Spider-Man: Far From Home, The Greatest Showman and Dune,” said CinemaCon’s Managing Director, Mitch Neuhauser. “We could not be more honored to present Zendaya with this year’s CinemaCon Star of the Year Award.”
Zendaya’s portrayal of Rue on Euphoria has led her to become the youngest-ever two-time winner of the Drama Lead Actress Emmy. The actor will reprise her role for Season 3, which reportedly begin production in the second half of 2023. Additionally, it’s been reported that Zendaya will be paid nearly $1 million USD per episode.
The 2023 CinmeCon takes place at Caesars Palace from April 24-27. Zendaya is set to receive her Star of the Year Award on the convention’s final night during the Big Screen Achievement Awards ceremony.
