Fiorucci SS23 Welcomes You to the City of Angels

Drawing from its vibrant archive.

Fiorucci‘s dreamy Spring/Summer 2023 collection takes us back to where it all began: the city of angels.

Celebrating the brand’s signature moniker, the collection draws from Fiorucci’s Californian inspirations, showcasing a selection of soft color palettes, silky fabrics and sun-kissed silhouettes. Speaking about the inspiration behind his process, Daniel Fletcher explains, “I start each season looking through the Fiorucci archive and one of the things that I uncovered this season was a pile of photos of an event in the Beverly Hills store in the 70s for Blondie’s Parallel Lines album launch.”

“LA is such an important part of Fiorucci’s history and I love hearing stories of the store which occupied the Beverly Theatre with the music pumping and Andy Warhol and Joan Jett hanging out at the store,” he continued. “It sounds like a wild time so I always love bringing the brand back here and celebrating where we are today with the new generation of creatives who are now part of the Fiorucci family.”

In terms of the garments themselves, SS23 prides itself on its soft hues and muted colors like peach, sage green and lilac, interspersed with bold hits of fuschia, lemon yellow, teal and lime. Effortlessly fusing delicate shirting with chunky knitwear and crochet, the collection features signature Fiorucci Angels patches and archival prints, harking back to the brand’s rich and eclectic heritage.
