Stella McCartney and adidas Announce Maternity Swimwear Two-Piece

Supporting new and expecting mothers in the water.

adidas and Stella McCartney are on a mission to improve maternity swimwear, beginning with their latest release: its first-ever maternity swimwear two-piece.

Featuring as part of the wider Spring/Summer 2023 “Water Workout” collection, the new offering has been designed specifically to support new and expecting mothers as they move in and around the water. Inspired by the ocean, each design takes cues from the beauty and “expansive presence of water,” showcased through abstract prints and bold hues of blue, pink and yellow.

Continuing adidas’ commitment to end plastic waste, the new collection is crafted in part with recycled materials, whilst still prioritizing comfort and stretch in order to support its wearer through all stages of motherhood. The collection features a maternity bikini top, designed with stretchy interlock fabric and available in three shades of blue, yellow and pink, alongside maternity bikini bottoms which feature a high-cut, stretchy waistband.

Our mission is to ensure sport is an inclusive space, and we are continuously innovating to cater to the needs of our community – at every stage of their lives,” says Stella McCartney in a press release. “Following the launch of our maternity collection last season, I am so proud to introduce pieces that support new and expecting mothers as they find tranquillity and moments to move in the water. We hope this swimwear two-piece helps to remove some of the barriers often faced when swimming pre and postpartum.”

The new adidas by Stella McCartney maternity swimwear is available for purchase from the adidas website.

In other news, Gigi Hadid’s Guest In Residence launched its new SS23 collection.
