Lizzo Gives Rest to the Classic French Mani With "French Moon" Nail Display

Another slay. Thank you.

Lizzo is the glamour girl that the industry high key needs, so we’ll make sure to give her the most flowers each time she displays a fire moment. If she’s not giving us makeup and hair inspo, she’s ensuring we’re getting all of the manicure deets, precisely what she did with the latest flex of her “French moon” nail set.

Instead of the classic French mani, Lizzo went for the villain version of the cult-loved nail trend. A “French moon” mani uses dark-colored nail polish along the edge of the nail. Her go-to manicurist Eri Ishizu filed her XL extensions into a sharp stiletto shape. Next, she painted the base and iridescent color, followed by jet-black tips. Ishizu sealed the deal on the manicure by adding crystallized adornments to elevate the black polish.

Lizzo’s “French moon” manicure is the perfect spin on the trend that has been dominating our social media feeds for quite some time. It’s also the sexy cousin of Angel Reese‘s “Black sheer pantyhose” short French mani. It’s safe to say, Black girls are having major nail moments right now — but as per usual.

Get more into Lizzo’s chic claws ahead.
