There's a 'Twilight' TV Series in the Works via Lionsgate
Author Stephenie Meyer will reportedly be involved.
The debate over #TeamJacob or #TeamEdward will continue, but this time in a forthcoming TV series. Twilight, which started off as the first novel in a book series that was later brought to life through five successful films, is now getting turned into a TV show via Lionsgate, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“The Twilight TV series is in its infancy and does not yet have a network/platform or a writer as sources say the studio, which controls the rights to the franchise, plans to lead the development on the project before shopping the rights to the package,” THR reported. “There is not yet a timeline for when the Twilight series will be taken out to potential buyers as Lionsgate first plans to find a writer to steer it.”
While much remains unknown about the forthcoming project, what we do know is that author Stephenie Meyer, who also had a say in the films starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, is reportedly on board.
