Y-3 Embraces "Technical Effortlessness" for SS23

adidas and Yohji Yamamoto‘s collaborative brand Y-3 is elevating utilitarian workwear for Spring/Summer 2023, offering a decadent take on otherwise austere garments.
Aptly titled “Technical Effortlessness,” chapter two of the label’s SS23 collection provides a wearable antidote to transitional weather, delivering a meticulously designed capsule for minimalists who refuse to entertain unimaginative essentials. Grounded in a no-nonsense color palette of black with pops of navy blue and coral, the presentation reinvigorates wardrobe staples like breezy cargo pants and fluid button-down shirts, adding an air of cool to the most of humble of pieces with the addition of handy fabric chords. Elsewhere, floor-length trench coats bear an aerodynamic shape with high funnel necklines and a versatile construction, boasting spacious pockets and useful straps, while its asymmetric silhouette repeats itself on high-low shift dresses and oxford shirts.
The collection is also home to outdoor-ready footwear, continuing the line’s penchant for adaptable accessories. The Y-3 TERREX SWIFT R3 GTX sneaker arrives in a low and high cut shape, boasting a neoprene, textile and rubber fabrication, finished with a waterproof GORE-TEX® membrane and equipping it for an array of environments.
