Daniel Fletcher to Step Down From Fiorucci
After three years of making menswear sexy again.
Daniel Fletcher is set to exit his role as Fiorucci’s menswear artistic director this month, according to WWD.
“I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together during my time here and have had so much fun along the way. It has been an honor to contribute to this brand that has such a rich history, and I wish Fiorucci all the best for the future,” Fletcher said in a statement.
A reportedly amicable departure, Fletcher’s future involves focusing on his namesake brand — from which we expect to see a lot more of in the coming months. As a result, Fletcher’s last collection for Fiorucci will be Resort 2024, following the recent release of his Pre-Fall 2023 collection.
The designer was first appointed Fiorucci’s Creative Director in 2020 and in the past few years, has been responsible for bringing his sexy aesthetic to the brand’s menswear offering, delving deep into Fiorucci’s rich archives and rave culture history to refine and reinvent.
Who replaces Fletcher is yet to be announced, but watch this space for more details.
