OurX Provides a Digital Safe Space for Those With Textured Hair

A first-to-market data-tech platform with the mission of creating a new standard for textured hair and scalp care.

OurX has revealed a groundbreaking platform dedicated to serving the unique needs of textured hair.

Its visionary founder, Ceci Kurzman, recognized the pressing need for more investment, innovation and data in this area and took action to fill the gap. OurX is committed to providing tailored regimens, expert coaching, valuable education and a supportive community to help people with textured tresses look and feel their best. The experience is based on the brand’s app, where users will receive a personalized regimen based on their unique hair and scalp attributes, lifestyle and preferences. From there, users will be provided customized coaching, education and support from a community of individuals who understand the challenges of managing textured hair.

The regimen is supported by seven hero products, including a Scalp Serum and Detox Cleanse Complex. OurX products are formulated with innovative ingredients like AI-created peptides, hyaluronic acid, and squalane and is influenced by leading dermatologist Jenna Lester, hairstylist Cataanda James and celebrity stylist Johnny Wright.

OurX also has a new CEO, Meghan Maupin, an MIT graduate and co-founder of the skincare brand Atolla, which Function of Beauty acquired in 2021.
