Moncler Drops FW23 Footwear Collection
Featuring collaborations with Zellerfeld and Salehe Bembury.
Moncler is bracing us for the cold with its Fall/Winter 2023 collection of footwear.
Filled with outdoor-ready sneakers and sturdy boots, the brand’s latest presentation toes the line between pragmatism and luxury. Boasting a variety of utilitarian silhouettes, the collection includes the new Trailgrip GTX sneaker. Featuring a GORE-TEX design, the shoe juxtaposes its utilitarian nature with a rainbow of uber-saturated colorways. The rough and ready footwear option arrives in vivid shades of bubblegum pink paired with a deep “Forest Green,” joining a stunning monochromatic cobalt blue hue, as well as an earthy khaki and beige arrangement. The Trailgrip GTX is equipped with a formidable tread, carbon fiber footplate and Vibram outsole, making it well suited against almost any terrain.
The Peka Trek boot holds its own as Moncler’s most innovative hiking boot yet, utilizing a Vibram sole, water-repellent membrane and micro rubber midsole. Its functionality is matched in its color palette, donning a subdued black leather and brown suede. The Gaia Pocket Winter Boot is an easy choice for the winter months with its warm and cozy down insulation, mimicking its signature Maya Jackets. The boot cleverly features a snap closure pocket for added versatility. The collection also makes room for collaborations with Zellerfeld and Salehe Bembury with the former unveiling a 3D printed model, eliminating the factory from the design process. Bembury contributes a kaleidoscope of thumbprint quilting, infused with tones of green, orange, and “Pastel Taupe” hues.
