The Whitaker Group Offers a First Look At Its New Balance 9060 "Missing Pieces" Collab

The Whitaker Group is joining forces with New Balance, reinvigorating the 9060 silhouette for its “Missing Pieces” collaboration.

Honing in on both brands’ shared commitment to progress and supporting youth-led movements, a captivating campaign video accompanies the sneaker drop. The short film showcases two young women hustling to set up their equipment for a promising podcast, speaking to the gutsy bravery youth carry and their innate ability to “[stand] for a vision of society, reality and the world around them that will only emerge through culturally-relevant conversation and their committed actions.”

The chunky sneakers arrive in two new colorways — a refreshing “Daydream Blue” and “Silver Moss Green.” Both options employ a nubuck upper with splashes of “Pink Sand” and “Silver Moss,” as well as “Hazy Peach” and “Moonrock” painting the respective loose mesh-gauge bases. Both pairs welcome a wavy green midsole with a creamsicle-colored rubber outsole on the “Silver Moss Green” iteration, while “Daydream Blue” opts for black.

The Whitaker Group x New Balance 9060 “Missing Pieces” will be released on September 28 at 11am EDT via TWG retailers for $170 USD. In anticipation for the drop, local priority access and general raffles have started at TWG storefronts.
