Lauren Wasser Fronts Bluebella's Valentine's Day Campaign

The toxic shock syndrome survivor pens a “Love Letter” to her journey.

Model and menstrual toxic shock syndrome (TSS) survivor Lauren Wasser fronts Bluebella’s Valentine’s Day lingerie campaign.

At 24 years old, Wasser endured complications from using a tampon and was diagnosed with TSS. The horror story riddled with heart attacks and a medically induced coma resulted in two leg amputations. Since surviving TSS, Wasser has become a champion of women’s health, advocating for safer menstrual care and also become a notable model as seen in the Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 3.

Now, the “Girl with the Golden Legs” stars in Bluebella’s “Love Letters” campaign that “centers around celebrating each of our personal journeys to self-acceptance and confidence,” the brand shared.

The collection is a love letter to Wasser and her journey of loving herself in each of her phases. “We believe that her journey to loving herself, will encourage ouraudience to do the same,” Bluebella’s founder, Emily Bendell shared. Crafted with each of your stages in mind, the collection can be worn both day and night.

Wasser added: “This campaign is about owning yourself, something I feel that I really embody. I think that’s what makes us all unique and special in our own way. It’s important to embrace who you are, and everything that you’ve gone through, this is part of life’s journey which helps create and craft the person that you are right now.”
