Hundreds of Labubu Figurines Are Displayed at This New Exhibition

‘MONSTERS BY MONSTERS: NOW AND THEN’ celebrates the 10th anniversary of The Monsters and Labubu.

The internet’s favorite characters are getting an exhibition to mark a milestone anniversary. The beloved forest spirits known as The Monsters are going on a 10th anniversary global tour with Labubu, titled MONSTERS BY MONSTERS: NOW AND THEN.

Opening at the Asia Society Hong Kong Centre and sponsored by HSBC, the showcase follows a successful run in both Shanghai and Taipei. The exhibition will offer an immersive journey into the whimsical world of Labubu and friends for all your wildest dreams.

A decade ago, artist Kasing Lung was inspired by Norse mythology, which led to the now infamous creations and laid the groundwork through imagery for works such as the Fairy Trilogy. Today, the fantastical creatures have transcended borders and styles to become a cultural phenomenon.

The touring exhibition transforms its host venues into enchanted forests where fantasy merges with reality. Visitors can trace the artistic origins of the series through an exploration of Lung’s initial sketches and dense original artworks. Featuring themed zones, you’ll find a Designer Toys Zone following Labubu’s evolution and an Interactive Zone spotlighting the POP MART collaboration, alongside much more. This is a major homecoming for Lung, who emigrated in his youth and now celebrates the characters who remain at the heart of his creative life.

The exhibition runs in Hong Kong from December 15, 2025, to January 4, 2026.
