The Best Beauty Moments from New York Fashion Week FW25
From Gabe Gordon’s rubber lips to “underground club drag” at Luar.
From it-girl glam to bold beehive hair, the beauty trends at New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025 are taking a more unconventional turn this year. This season, certain moments stand out amongst the rest, reflecting a deeper connection to what designers envision for their collections. Makeup and hair artists are unveiling looks that showcase more of an interwoven narrative with what brands are trying to convey.
Below, check out some of our favorite highlights from the runway, featuring some of the most unforgettable glam that is sure to inspire us all season long.

Romero Jennings went for “it-girl” glam at Kim Shui, pairing dramatic, smudged liner and icy white eyeshadow. “It’s ‘cool girl.’ Think about somebody like Gabriette — she looks almost futuristic, yet retro. She’s got a skinny brow, her makeup is always cool-colored,” Jennings told Hypebae.
Rubber Lips at Gabe Gordon

Gabe Gordon’s “Rubber Boyfriend” show showcased models with rubber-like lips, each adorned with thick layers of bright pink gloss that dramatically overlined the mouth, creating a doll-like effect. With Donni Davy’s Half Magic helping the team backstage, it’s no wonder this makeup truly gave “doll.”
Super-Elevated Ponytails at Christian Cowan

For Christian Cowan, the vibe was “the higher the hair, the closer to God.” While we’re accustomed to Ariana Grande’s signature ponytail, this look took it to a new level.
Race Car Eyes at Christian Siriano

Revlon’s Vincento Quendo’s interpretation of Christian Siriano’s design drew inspiration from the body of a NASCAR racing car, featuring a melted red wing that blended into a glittery eyeshadow and smoked-out black eyeliner.
Super Long Bangs at Christopher John Rogers

Hairstylist Sonny Molina described, in a press statement, that this free-flowing hair “was designed to complement the collection’s structured silhouette.” Molina started with a sleek base to blend in the banged wig and its glue, then he used Bumble and Bumble’s “Spray de Mode” Flexible Hold Hairspray for maximum hold.
“Underground Club Drag” at Luar

MAC Cosmetics’ key makeup artist Terry Barberon wants heavy makeup on the runway, no matter what. Inspired by the late ’80s and the “underground club drag” scene, the maximalist look at Luar was not supposed to be perfect but more “like it was done in the back of a taxi cab,” Barberon told Hypebae.
Watercolor Eyes at Sandy Liang

Backstage at Sandy Liang, models wore watercolor-washed eyes to match the whimsical and nostalgic feel of the brand’s new collection.
Heavy Metal Nails at Alice + Olivia

Throughout this season, we’re noticing that designers are finally embracing a maximalist nail. At Alice + Olivia, Miss Pop adorned models’ hands with these gunmetal and chrome extensions.
Showgirl Glam at The Blonds

To blend in with the clothing’s feathers and Vegas-style vibe, the makeup at The Blonds’ show felt straight off the famous strip. Showgirl was the theme so there were plenty of glitzy rhinestones, dramatic winged eyeliner and lashes to spare on the runway.
Green Smoked-Out Eyes at Anni Sui

A tribute to the glamour of the ’60s, Anna Sui and Pat McGrath joined forces to create a stunning smoky eye that extended into a flared green eyeshadow on the bottom waterline.
