Mugler's New "Alien Extraintense" Is a Powerful Evolution of Its Classic Scent

Anok Yai morphs into an extraterrestrial version of herself in the fragrance’s campaign.

The Mugler “Alien” fragrance collection is expanding with a new addition, introducing a warm and indulgent twist. “Alien Extraintense” takes the iconic scent into gourmand territory, offering a richer, more decadent experience. This latest iteration blends elements of the original with sweet nuances like vanilla and jasmine, creating a perfume that envelops its wearer in potency and vigor.

Alongside the launch is a campaign starring supermodel Anok Yai, who transforms into an otherworldy creature when she spritzes on “Alien Extraintense,” inviting the short film’s viewer to journey alongside her to a different place of existence. “Growing up people used to always say I looked like an alien,” Yai said in a press statement.

“‘Alien Extraintense’ explores the mesmerizing and voluptuous aspects of femininity with a carnal, bold signature,” Dominique Ropion, master perfumer at International Flavors & Fragrances, said in a press statement. Ropion, a renowned figure in the world of perfume, crafted the original “Alien” fragrance back in 2005, which became an instant classic and a beloved cult favorite in the beauty industry. What lovers of the OG can expect with “Extraintense” is an elevated scent, with a more intense concentration of its notes.
